Who we are
Tendlets is made by PP Worldwide Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, which is responsible for your information (the “data controller”). “We” in this policy means PP Worldwide Ltd. You can reach us at hello@tendlets.com.
What the app keeps on your phone
To look after your pet, Tendlets stores the following on your phone:
- What you’ve chosen to look after (for example meds, water or sleep), your reminder times and any names you give your meds.
- What you log each day, your pets and their treasures, sparkles and room.
- Anything you write in the gratitude jar.
- The name you ask your pet to call you.
Without an account, none of this is sent to us or anyone else, and we can’t see it.
Accounts and cloud backup (optional)
If you sign in from Me, then Your account, we keep:
- Your email address, to send you sign-in codes and to know which backup is yours.
- A backup of your game: everything in the list above, plus when it was last backed up and whether it came from an iPhone, Android phone or the web.
Why: only so you can restore your game on a new phone, and keep two phones in step. We don’t use it for anything else, we don’t look at it, and we never sell or share it.
Health information: your backup can include medication names and times, which counts as health information. We only store it with your explicit consent, which you give with the tick box when you sign in. You can withdraw it at any time by deleting your account.
Where: backups are stored by our hosting provider, Supabase, on servers in London, in the UK. They’re sent over an encrypted connection, and the database only lets each account read its own backup. On your phone, your sign-in is stored encrypted.
Emails: sign-in codes are sent from hello@tendlets.com by Resend, an email delivery service, on our behalf. Resend receives your email address and the code only to deliver the email, and handles them in Ireland, in the EU.
How long: until you delete your account. Deleting it in the app removes your account and backup straight away; see delete your account.
Buying sparkles
You can buy sparkle packs in the app once you’re signed in.
- Payment is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own privacy policies. We never see your card or bank details, your name or your Apple or Google account.
- RevenueCat, a service that checks purchases with Apple and Google, receives your account’s random ID (not your email address), what you bought, the price and currency, when, the store’s receipt, your country and basic device details such as the app version. RevenueCat is based in the United States; your information is transferred there with the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
- We keep a record of each pack bought with your account: which pack, how many sparkles, which store, and when. It’s stored with your backup in London, so your sparkles are never lost, even if you change phones.
Why: to give you what you paid for, keep it safe, and answer any questions about a purchase. How long: until you delete your account, which deletes these records and asks RevenueCat to delete its record of you too. Apple and Google keep their own records of purchases under their policies.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled on your phone by your phone’s own notification system. No reminder information is sent to us.
Backup codes
When you tap Back up my pet, the app turns your saved game into a code on your phone and opens your phone’s share sheet. You choose where the code goes (for example Notes or a message to yourself). We never receive it. Keep it somewhere private, as it contains what you’ve logged in the app.
What we don’t do
- No advertising, and no advertising or tracking tools.
- No analytics that collect what you do in the app.
- We don’t sell or share your information. The only companies that receive it are the ones named in this policy (Supabase, Resend and RevenueCat), and only to do the jobs described.
This website
This website doesn’t use cookies or tracking, and its fonts, images and code are served from this site rather than from other companies. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time to keep the site running and secure.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and delete them when they’re no longer needed.
The delete your account page sends the email address you type, and the code you receive, to Supabase, only to check the account is yours and delete it.
Children
Tendlets isn’t designed for children under 13.
Your rights
You can see, copy, correct or delete your information at any time:
- On your phone: tap Start over in the Me tab, or delete the app.
- Your account, backup and purchase records: delete them in the app, or on our delete your account page. To get a copy of your backup, tap Back up my pet, or email us.
If you’ve emailed us and want us to delete your messages, just ask. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority; in the UK, that’s the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we add features that change any of this, we’ll update this policy before they arrive and change the date at the top.
